Sauvignon Blanc, Mauzac, Chasan, Muscat, Terret Bourret

Languedoc, France

This kaleidoscopic wine brings together Sauvignon (44%), Mauzac (27%), Chasan (14%), Muscat Petit Grain (9%), and Terret Bourret (6%) from Villafranchian soils and limestone sands. The winemaking is masterful - destemmed macerations in jars and tanks ranging from 21 to 65 days, followed by 9 months aging in tank. The nose opens with plum and pear, initially slightly reductive but quickly blossoming into beautiful white fruits. On the palate, it's laser-focused - mineral, gloriously sapid, with gentle tannins and impressive length. So incredibly drinkable! NO ADDED SULFUR, VEGAN.

Antony Tortul founded La Sorga in 2008 after working vineyards across southern France from Bergerac to Châteauneuf-du-Pape. He makes around 40 different wines each year with edgy labels featuring Chuck Norris, Van Damme, and Attila the Hun. The grapes come from organic and biodynamic vineyards, some with vines over 100 years old. Always hand-picked grapes, indigenous yeasts, zero sulfites added.
