Les Vins de la Gabare is a collaboration between Les Caves de Pyrene, Nicolas Reau and local growers. The idea behind this project is to create excellent value wines, from organically-farmed grapes and as naturally as possible, wines that faithfully reflect the place they come from. “Gabare” is a flat-bottomed barge or sailing scow (it can have masts on it), the type often seen on the Loire and other French rivers.

Native yeast fermentation in oak barrel. No filtration, nor fining. 2g/hl sulphur was added at bottling. 5000 bottles produced. VEGAN. Bright, lightly nutty and reminiscent of lemon zest and peaches, this Chenin is full of complex flavors, richness, and structure. Enjoy with everything from roast chicken to spicy Thai noodles.
